Sometimes a critter is in need of rehabilitation, near the end of its life, in need of continued vetting and/or might be considered “unfit for adoption”. In most of these cases, the animal would be adopted into my “sanctuary,” which may result in being a permanent resident in my home/at the rescue. Many birds, lizards and other caged critters that are not often sought out as every day pets live out the remainder of their lives safe, healthy and happy as Rebel Rescue Residents.
Rescue
Rebel Rescue Ohio is a one woman organization based out of my home. The “Ranch” is the future of what I want the rescue to become and grow into. As of right now, I am only able to take a few “critters” at a time to make sure I can afford proper vetting and care for every animal I take in. If there is a case that I am not able to help with, I will try my best to find someone who can!
Placement
After each critter has been fully vetted and is healthy, they are usually listed as “Available for adoption” on our Facebook and/or Instagram page. An application can then be submitted. If your application is accepted, a phone interview will take place. Home visits, reference and vet checks will then be made. Meet-n-greets are a must and are absolutely necessary to ensure the health and safety of all involved. Due to a very high demand, (especially with kittens) the amount of time it may take to receive a text/call could be a week or longer. If you would like to know more about our placement process, just ask!
